My Life List

Wow, it’s 2011.  How did we get here so fast??  Rather than jotting down my resolution for 2011, I wanted to work on my list of things I want to do/accomplish before I die.

I was inspired to come up with my “Life List” by my friend Ali, based on one of her recent blog posts. I’ve decided to put down in ‘writing’ my jumbled mental list of things that I’ve added to it over the years, but it’s nice to focus and really document them.  I included some of my completed items, as I’d like to keep track of them, but I’ve added a few more – just for kicks. 🙂  Who knows, maybe I’ll even blog about some of the experiences to aide in my ‘blog once a week for a year’ goal. 🙂

There’s a chance that I’ll add to the list as the years go on, but for now this is where I stand:

1. Study abroad
2. Graduate from college with a useful degree (yep, I felt this one was really important)
3. Find a job that I love (2 for 3!)
4. Adopt a shelter cat
5. Go skydiving
6. Snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef
7. See an opera in the Sydney Opera House
8. Get married
9. Attend a rodeo
   
10. Take a picture with a Canadian mounty
11. See Bob Barker in a taping of The Price is Right

12. Take a surf lesson
13. Ring in a new year in the Sydney Harbour
14. Procreate: Have one child, maybe two.
15. Climb the Great Wall of China
16. Visit the Great Pyramids/Sphinx in Egypt
17. Ride the London Eye
18. Take a ride on a boat to see Niagara Falls
19. Enjoy a pasta dish in Italy
20. Kiss (or touch) the Blarney Stone in Ireland
21. Wear a kilt in Scotland
22. Be an extra in a movie
23. Be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune
24. Go bungee jumping in New Zealand
25. Go topless on a topless beach
26. Go on a safari in South Africa
27. Buy a house
28. Witness the Aurora Borealis
29. Live in another country for a year
30. Mile High Club
31. Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge
32. See Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower
33. Visit all 7 continents
34. Blog once a week for an entire year
35. Take my mom out of the country for the first time
36. Run a half-marathon
