Travel Inspired by The Bachelor

It never fails, The Bachelor sucks me in every time.  It doesn’t help that my hubby is into it too…it’s actually his fault I got hooked this season (I would normally watch How I Met Your Mother at 8 pm on Mondays, but noooooo, not this season).  Thank goodness for TiVo!

One of the things I do like about watching The Bachelor is seeing the various exotic/beautiful locations they take the contestants each season.

This year, they’ve been to Costa Rica and now they’re in Anguilla.  The water in Anguilla looks beautiful!  After quick searches, there are various options for accommodation in Anguilla, I might have to add it to the list!

I felt like researching the properties featured on The Bachelor over the past couple of years, simply because I wouldn’t mind going to *any* of them, and having a list for when we win the lottery will come in  handy!

Season 15 (2011):
–    Cuisin Art Resort, Anguilla
–    The Springs Resort & Spa, Costa Rica

Season 14 (2010):
–    Jade Mountain, St. Lucia

Season 13 (2009):
–    Stoneridge Estate, Queenstown, New Zealand

Season 12 (2008):
–    The Great House, Barbados

If you were the Bachelor or Bachelorette, what would be your ideal location to have the “Final Rose Ceremony” for your season?

For me, I’d pick Namale in Fiji. I’ve always wanted to go to Fiji, and this place is amazing looking and would be quite romantic.  Luckily I’ve already found my true love, and a rose ceremony won’t be necessary.  For now, I just get to fantasize about places I’d like to go with him.

Amy! What a GREAT website – I love it!

We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon…you should check out Ladera if you ever go. We went and it was beautiful…like a 5 star tree house!

The water in Anguilla did look beautiful and I LOVED that private island…loving that your husband is a fan of The Bachelor. That takes a real man!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

Girl, I remember seeing your honeymoon photos when you returned – that place was amazing! I’m hoping to hit St. Lucia in the future for sure.

Josh admitted last night that he couldn’t believe he got hooked to the show, I thought it was funny. It was an enjoyable way to spend Valentine’s Day together though. Hope you had a happy one too! 🙂
