My #TNI Bucket List

Since I somehow managed to forget about Traveler’s Night In (#TNI), after mentally reminding myself 20 minutes before it started not to forget, I figured the topic was perfect for a blog post!

This week the hosts asked questions about everyone’s travel bucket list.  My second post on here shares some of my long list of places I want to explore.  I have to say, these questions weren’t all easy to answer, and I can’t imagine answering some of them in 140 characters! Pardon my lack of pictures in this post, I wanted to get it out there before next week’s #TNI, haha!

If you’re reading this, I’d love to see your answers to the questions posed.  Please comment with your responses!

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I can’t just pick one! Normally I’d say Australia (because I love it so much), but since we have plans to go next year I’ll go with my  the next top 5 choices: Thailand, Bali, Ireland, Greece, or South Africa.

2. What is the most disappointing item you’ve already scratched off your bucket list?
I can’t say that I’ve had a disappointing experience with anything on my bucket list. Of the places that I’ve been, I’ve had a great time and good memories.

3. What is the bucket list item have you scratched that you’d love to repeat?
Going to Australia. 🙂

4. Who is the one person you’d take to experience your bucket list with?
I’d definitely take my husband! He hasn’t had a chance to see too much, and I want to see everything.  There might be a few trips I’d take my mom on though – she’s never been outside the US, and she’s always talked about wanting to.

5. What is the one thing you can’t wait to eat from a bucket list destination?
An authentic pasta dish or pizza from Italy. I love carbs and can’t imagine enjoying them more anywhere else!  When we go to Oz, we’ll be trying Vegemite (because I chickened out when I was there the first time!), and taking a video for The Aussie Nomad.

6. How has your bucket list changed since you’ve started traveling?
It’s gotten bigger? I’ve met more travelers that share their stories which add on to my list of where I want to go! Thank you Twitter and #TNI!

7.  What natural wonders have you seen? Would like to see?
I’ve seen the Great Barrier Reef, which was amazing (as if that singular word could truly describe it).  I’d like to see: the Aurora Borealis, Victoria Falls, the Grand Canyon, the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Colosseum in Rome.

8. What is the most adventurous / extreme thing on your bucket list?
A part of me would like to go bungee jumping in New Zealand (or maybe skydiving?).  I experienced skydiving in Georgia, which clearly isn’t as beautiful as New Zealand.  I’ve never gone bungee jumping, and I hear there are some great options there!

9. What is the most unique to-do on your bucket list?
It’s hard to say anything on my list is unique.  It’s grown thanks to other experiences and finding random ideas online.  If I were comparing it to non-TNI folks, going on a safari in Africa would be pretty unique – but it’s not unique to many!  I’d really like to take my future potential children to Nairobi and stay at The Giraffe Manor.  That place seems really unique and would be a great experience for kids!

10. If you had 1 week to live, where would you go?
I’d say Fiji if the flight there wouldn’t cut so much out of my final week. I’d fly my loved ones to a beach locale (St. Martin or St. Lucia) and enjoy the remaining days sipping fruity cocktails on the beach, dancing to music under the stars after witnessing beautiful sunsets.
